FINCA’s Commitment to Responsible Banking in Kosovo

FINCA Kosovo received Smart Certification in November 2016. This certification is awarded to financial institutions that undergo a rigorous independent review to verify they uphold all aspects of the Smart Campaign’s seven Client Protection Principles for responsible banking, which include: appropriate product design and delivery; prevention of over-indebtedness; transparency; responsible pricing; fair and respectful treatment of clients; privacy of client data; and mechanisms for complaint resolution. Smart Certification marks a major milestone for FINCA Kosovo, which launched in 2000 and now serves nearly 18,000 clients.
