Boosting Financial Literacy

Only 34 percent of adults worldwide are considered fully financially literate. Every FINCA subsidiary provides free training that gives customers the tools they need to make informed decisions, avoid over-indebtedness and achieve their goals.

Many of our customers are new to formal financial services, and especially to mobile and digital banking. Personalized coaching helps these new customers develop trust and confidence.

Many FINCA subsidiaries also conduct programs that introduce young people to the basics of budgeting, saving and other concepts that will help them responsibly manage their finances in adulthood.

Expertise helps entrepreneurs thrive. That’s why we offer skills trainings ranging from social media marketing to livestock care. Our Kosovo-based Global Learning & Development Center works with subject-matter experts to develop materials for use across our global network. Individual subsidiaries offer additional training designed to meet the specific needs of customers in their communities.

We offer information in a variety of ways to meet different needs and learning styles. Bite-sized text messages encourage customers to develop good savings habits. One-day workshops help families create their first budget. Comprehensive courses like our women’s entrepreneurship development program provide in-depth education that helps customers start or expand businesses. In-person and virtual options help us expand our reach and meet more customers’ needs.
