Erick Guerra

Global Chief Auditor

Erick joined FINCA Impact Finance in 2016. He has expertise in auditing, business and finance consulting, enterprise risk management, internal control, accounting, regulatory compliance, project management, corporate governance, and change management. He has managed multicultural teams for more than two decades.

Erick spent nearly twenty years consulting at the Deloitte and Ernst & Young accounting firms. At Ernst & Young, he led the performance improvement practice for Central America, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, and was responsible for projects on four continents. He has worked with many industries, including financial services, real estate, telecommunications, and consumer products.

Erick served on the board for Habitat for Humanity Guatemala. He was chairman of the Internal Audit Development Committee of the Guatemalan Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has spoken widely on auditing and financial risk.

Erick earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico in Spain, and holds MBA and Certified Public Accountant degrees from the Universidad Panamericana in Guatemala. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Certification on Risk Management Assurance through the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is a Certified Internal Control Auditor through the Institute of Internal Controls and has certifications on Leadership and Change Management from INCAE Business School.
