Getting financial services to the places people work and live is key to expanding financial inclusion

Agency banking and digitization are bringing FINCA Impact Finance closer to its customers by making responsible finance available in some of the world’s most isolated communities. This touch-tech transformation cannot come soon enough for people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where the lack of physical infrastructure is a barrier to financial inclusion, but where access to finance is crucial for the well-being of families and communities. Branch banking is not feasible for most of the DRC’s 80 million residents but digital financial services are also difficult to come by.
